Frequently Asked Questions

tolinax supports companies in four areas: AI and digitalisation, software and hardware development, websites, shop systems and e-commerce, and strategic consulting. We accompany projects from the first idea to ongoing operation – including custom development of individual software and hardware on request.

It all starts with a no-obligation first conversation. You describe your project, we listen and assess which steps make sense – technically and commercially. You receive an honest evaluation and a possible roadmap. The easiest way to arrange a call is through our contact form or by booking an appointment directly.

tolinax works across industries – from trade businesses and mid-sized companies to large enterprises. Our focus is not on a single sector but on the task: digitalising processes, developing software and hardware, building online shops and applying AI sensibly. We are happy to discuss how this applies to your industry in a first conversation.

Both. Concept, development and support largely run remotely – efficiently and independent of location throughout the German-speaking region. For workshops, on-site appointments or production in our Think Tank, we are here for you in the Tegernsee valley. How we work together depends on your project.

We offer consulting and development on request, because every project has a different scope. Instead of a flat price list, we prepare a tailored quote after the first conversation – so you pay for what you actually need. Request a no-obligation quote through our contact form.

The Think Tank is our IoT research lab in the Tegernsee valley. Here we develop new products together with customers and offer hands-on manufacturing services – from plastic card printing and laser engraving to embroidery, prototypes and small production runs. Research and production under one roof, right in Rottach-Egern.

In the Think Tank we produce for you:

  • Plastic card printing using thermal transfer – such as customer, membership or access cards
  • Laser engraving with diode and CO2 lasers
  • Embroidery for textiles
  • Prototypes and small production runs in electronics and product development

Get in touch about your project – we will advise you on materials and implementation.

We print plastic cards using the thermal transfer process – durable, smudge-proof and water-resistant. Suitable examples include customer, membership and access cards, optionally with numbering or personalised data. You supply your print data as PDF, PNG or a common vector format. We agree on quantity and finish with you in advance.

For laser engraving we use two systems: a diode laser and a CO2 laser. With these we engrave and cut various materials such as wood, acrylic, leather or coated metals – for signs, giveaways, enclosures or labelling. We are happy to determine which material suits your design.

Yes. Alongside printing and engraving, the Think Tank produces embroidery for textiles and handles the build of prototypes and small production runs. Especially in electronics and product development, we work with you from the first sample to a small batch. We discuss scope and feasibility individually.

Production time depends on effort, material and quantity, and we define it by arrangement. After a short conversation about your project, we give you a realistic time frame. For urgent projects we can often find a solution – just ask.

The Think Tank is located at Tegernseer Straße 89, 83700 Rottach-Egern (Reitrain district). Opening hours are:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9 am–12 pm and 1 pm–4 pm
  • Wednesday, Friday: 9 am–12 pm
  • and by appointment

For a visit or a pickup, it is best to arrange a short time slot with us in advance.

Yes. We keep a stock of microelectronic components in our Think Tank in the Tegernsee valley. That means you can pick up ordered parts directly on site instead of waiting for shipping. Simply arrange the pickup with us within our opening hours.

For components from our stock we offer pickup in the Tegernsee valley. Shipping is available on request – we will state the conditions for each order. We are currently expanding payment and shipping in the shop; if you have questions, feel free to contact us directly.

aYOUne is a Business-as-a-Service platform and one of tolinax's products. It bundles numerous business areas – from CRM and marketing to shop and inventory management and AI – in a single multi-tenant solution. You can find everything about the product at ayoune.com.

The fastest way to reach us is through our contact form. Our head office is tolinax UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Oberhof 4, 83700 Oberhof; our Think Tank is at Tegernseer Straße 89, 83700 Rottach-Egern. Describe your request and we will get back to you promptly.

It starts with an initial consultation where we understand your goals and workflows. From that we shape a proposal with a clear scope and build it step by step, from the first working version to production use. It does not stop at launch: we run, maintain and extend your software over time. We work out the details in the initial consultation.

Custom software pays off when your workflows are specific enough that a standard product only fits with compromises. We build tools that do exactly what your team needs every day, no more and no less. If an off-the-shelf solution fits better, we say so honestly. More on our software development page.

We first review your processes and pick the use cases where AI pays off, so you get a clear order of priorities rather than a wish list. Then we introduce generative AI, such as chat assistants, draft text or document analysis, and choose the model and provider to match your requirements for quality, data protection and cost. More on AI consulting.

Yes. The work does not end at launch. We run your solution, maintain it and keep developing it step by step so it grows with your business. That keeps your software maintainable and up to date over the long run.

We build classic online shops as well as headless commerce, and work among other things as a Shopware agency. For business customers we build B2B shops with tiered pricing, approvals and customer accounts. We connect payment providers, shipping services and inventory management cleanly so orders flow through without a break. More on shop systems and e-commerce.

We begin with an inventory: all systems, interfaces and manual processes, plus interviews with key people and an analysis of your data flows. From that we derive prioritized recommendations tied to concrete value, quick wins first and larger rebuilds later. On request we support the rollout including training. More on digitalization consulting.

Yes. We take on contract electronics development and embedded development, where circuit, layout and software grow together instead of being split across several suppliers. From the first prototype we support the path to a small production run and connect sensors, firmware and your devices to the cloud. More on hardware and IoT development.

Yes. Alongside lean websites and landing pages we build web applications as a progressive web app: installable, offline-capable and cross-device. We work with Angular and modern frontends, built to stay maintainable so your application can grow. More on web development.

It depends on the scope. A lean website goes live in a few weeks, while extensive custom software or hardware development takes longer. After the initial consultation we give you a realistic estimate rather than a blanket figure. Arrange a meeting through our contact form.

Yes. tolinax accompanies projects from the first idea to ongoing operation, across AI and digitalization, software and hardware development, websites, shop systems and consulting. That gives you one point of contact instead of several suppliers you have to coordinate yourself.
